A Safe Place to Heal. A Strong Place to Grow.
Through structure, consistency, and compassionate support, we help young men build confidence, strengthen life skills, and prepare for a successful future.
Every young man deserves more than a roof over his head. He deserves a place where he feels safe, heard, respected, understood, and valued—a place where he can begin to build trust, discover his strengths, and believe in the possibilities of his future.
At Sheltering Arms Residential Home, Inc., we are committed to providing a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment for boys ages 10–17. We understand that every young man comes to us with his own story, experiences, challenges, and strengths. Our responsibility is to meet him where he is, provide stability and encouragement, and help him take meaningful steps toward personal growth.
Through compassion, consistency, positive relationships, and individualized support, we strive to help each young man develop confidence, strengthen life skills, build healthy coping strategies, and make positive choices. We believe that meaningful change begins when a young person feels supported rather than judged, encouraged rather than discouraged, and understood rather than overlooked.
At Sheltering Arms, we believe every young man has a story—but his past does not have to define his future. We are here to help him recognize his worth, discover new opportunities, and move forward with hope, dignity, and purpose.
WHO WE ARE
A Place to Grow, Belong, and Move Forward
We believe every young man deserves to feel safe, supported, valued, and encouraged as he works toward his future. Through structure, positive relationships, and individualized support, we create opportunities for growth, healing, and personal development. Our goals are to help each young man recognize his strengths and develop the skills needed to move forward with greater stability and independence.
OUR APPROACH TO CARE
More Than a Place to Stay
At Sheltering Arms, we understand that every young man comes to us with his own story, strengths, experience, and needs, we provide a safe, structed, and supportive environment where he can feel heard, build trust, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful growth.
We believe behavior is communication. Our approach looks beyond the behavior to understand what a young man may be experiencing, what support he needs, and what skills can help him make healthier choices.
HERE TO HELP. NEVER TO HARM.
Our care is rooted in dignity, patience, consistency, accountability, and respect. We provide guidance and structure without losing sight of the young person behind the behavior. Every interaction is an opportunity to build trust, teach healthier skills, and have each young man feel safe, supported, and capable of moving forward.
At Sheltering Arms Residential Home, Inc., our goal is not simply to provide a place to live, but to create an environment where every young man feels valued, understood, and encouraged to reach his full potential. We believe that with the right support, guidance, and opportunities, every young man has the ability to grow beyond his challenges and build a brighter future.

How We Support Our Young Men
Therapeutic & Emotional Support
Emotional & Behavioral Support
We provide individualized support that helps young men understand their emotions, build healthy coping skills, strengthen communication, and develop positive ways to manage challenges. Through consistent guidance and supportive relationships, residents are encouraged to express themselves appropriately, build self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop greater confidence in handling everyday situations.
Structure, Routine & Daily Living
We provide consistent routines and clear expectations that help young men develop responsibility, healthy habits, organization, and greater confidence in managing everyday life. Through daily guidance and age-appropriate responsibilities, residents are encouraged to build independence, practice accountability, and develop skills they can carry into adulthood.
Life Skills & Independence
Through everyday routines and hands-on guidance, young men build practical life skills, personal responsibility, decision-making abilities, and greater confidence as they prepare for increased independence. Residents are encouraged to develop healthy habits, practice problem-solving, strengthen self-care skills, and take greater responsibility for their daily choices and responsibilities.
Education & Academic Support
We support each young man’s educational progress by encouraging school participation, positive study habits, academic responsibility, and collaboration with school and educational teams.
